At St Richard’s Playgroup, nothing is more important to us than your child.

Our goal is to ensure that your child is happy, confident and ready for the future, by caring
and supporting your whole family.

Our Values

St Richard’s Playgroup is run by a professional and committed team of staff who truly value the unique skills that every person brings.

We pride ourselves on our strong principles of caring, relationships and community which guide everything we do.

We are driven by our goal of happy and confident children who are ready for the next stage in their lives. We believe that this happens best when we spend time getting to know you and working closely with you.

This goal means also means that our staff continually look at areas in which their knowledge and skills can be even better through regular training.

How We Work

At St Richard's Playgroup, we have a wide range of ways to help give your child the best start in life.

We've grouped all of our varying activities into five main areas - Social, Learning, Communication, Physical and Working with others.  In this way we can ensure your child has the best start in life.

Our Location

St Richard’s Church Centre is situated to the left at the end of the Forge Lane. Our space includes a large hall, four toilets, and a large, partially covered outdoor play area in which the children can use gardening tools and play equipment.
We liaise with the local nursery which enables us to extend children’s care by collecting the children from nursery and keeping them with us for lunch and the afternoon session if that is something that would benefit you.
